Lynne Babbitt Counseling
Professional, Practical, Caring Counseling

I delight in helping adults and adolescents, couples and families learn tools to enrich their lives, and build healthy relationships. My holistic approach includes the influences of minds, emotions, bodies, and spirits. I believe anyone who wants to live an intentional life can benefit from quality counseling. And anyone can change who wants to.

Clients and I meet together via technology like FaceTime, Skype, messenger video, and phone. The fee for 50-minute sessions is $80, which can be paid by Venmo, PayPal, Credit, Debit, or HSA card, check, or cash. I don’t charge more for intakes or for more people in the room. I often give clients take-home papers and assessments to further enrich their counseling experience.

I recommend that new clients schedule sessions as regularly as possible in the beginning of therapy, typically weekly, as we build momentum in reaching goals. Then we lengthen the time in between sessions as progress is made. But clients set the schedule that works best for their budget and lifestyle. Some people come to counseling to work on one specific thing, such as a decision about a person they are dating or a career change. Others come to address hindrances that keep them from living their lives to the fullest, or to work on resolving strife or distance in relationships. Many people “graduate” from counseling when they’ve reached their goals, and then return later in order to continue investing in their own growth and development.

About half the counseling I do involves important relationships:
  • Pre-marriage
  • Marriage
  • Divorce and Remarriage
  • Stepfamily
  • Parenting
  • Family of Origin

I also see people for many individual issues, such as:
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Anger
  • Grief
  • Past pain and trauma
  • Eating disorders
  • Career and purpose planning

I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Systems Theory. When clients desire spiritually focused therapy, we discuss relevant Biblical principles. Some of my specialties are Anxiety, Divorce Recovery, Stepfamilies, Parenting, Depression, Health and Nutrition, and Issues of Faith and Spirituality. My goal is to offer my clients caring support, practical tools, and uplifting wisdom.
